About me: Daniel Petrica
I’m Daniel Petrica, a Laravel and full‑stack developer split between Reggio Emilia and Tokyo, helping teams design, build, and scale real‑world web applications while giving back to the open‑source community.
I’m Daniel Petrica, a software developer from Italy who loves working with Laravel, Vue, and the web in general.
My full name is Andrei‑Daniel Petrica, but everyone calls me Daniel.
I’m based between Reggio Emilia, Italy and Tokyo, splitting my time between Europe and Japan. Curiosity drives most of what I do: I like understanding how systems work, improving them, and learning new tools when they help solve real problems.
I also care a lot about giving back to the community. I contribute to open‑source projects when I can, fixing bugs, improving documentation, and sharing tools that helped me in real projects.
Over the years I’ve worked on a wide range of web projects:
- Business‑critical systems for utilities and enterprises
- Real estate and SaaS products
- Customer‑facing apps where reliability and performance matter every day
Professionally, I’ve held roles from junior to senior, including:
- Senior Software Analyst at Dedagroup in Bologna, working on software that helps clients optimize their business processes
- Software Analyst at Warrant Hub in Correggio
- Junior Software Analyst at Mow.it in Reggio Emilia, maintaining legacy systems and building new ones
- Full‑stack web developer for products like Timeneye.com and Saleswith.it, handling everything from infrastructure and databases to frontend and customer support
Technologies I enjoy working with the most include Laravel and PHP, Vue.js and Nuxt.js with TypeScript, and Docker for both development and production environments. My broader toolkit also includes Git, MySQL, SCSS/Sass, and SEO.
Outside of day‑to‑day work, I like collaborating on ideas and products. In 2025 I was part of the team that won Startup Weekend Mantova with fitravel.app, a non‑technical idea where I contributed on the product and execution side rather than just code.
I occasionally build open‑source projects and experiment with new stacks. You can find some of that work on my GitHub.
